When does black disk appear in central vision?
It happens only when I wake up in the morning. The halo/disc forms in the central vision for a second and then disappears and it doesn’t appear again unless I close my eyes again for a very long time.

One morning I woke up and saw a fuzzy circular patch in my central vision where everything was distorted. It went away after a few seconds and my vision returned to normal. That day I went to the eye doctor and had a dilated exam.

Is it normal to see a dark spot when you wake up?
When I woke up in the early morning I saw a dark spot in my central vision, almost like a blind spot. It went away after a few seconds and my vision as I type this is normal. I haven’t been able to find much on the internet about this, so I was wondering if anyone here has had this happen?
