Since I joined this forum and the group on Cipralex all I seem to see are negatrive, negative, negative from this drug. I have never been on an anti-depressant in my whole life. But now at 59 struggling with terrible anxiety and panic attacks. It took me a long time since the Doc recommended Cipralex to make the decision to take it.

During this whole month I didn’t experience any withdrawals apart from occasional panic attacks that were very mild, maybe 2-3 times, which wasn’t too bad actually. It’s been a month now and I’ve started feeling dizzy a lot. Especially when there’s motion Involved like walking for example. Mild nausea as well. Can that be withdrawal symptoms ?

It has brought out the very best in me – amusing, kind, positive and creative and suppressed the nervy, iritable behaviour that spoilt my relationships. It has allowed me to make wonderful friends and to make benificial difference to people’s lives. I am in my 50s and know a lot about life.

I have been on Cipralex 10 mg for about 7 months, my Pysch, therapist and I all agreed to let me try to get off. 1 week at 5mg, then nothing. At day 9 without Cipralex my world crashed.. emotions went nuts, anxiety peaked,raging headaches day and night, blurry swimming vision, odd lightheadedness, poor sleep, filled with terrors.
