Why does my mouth still hurt a month after wisdom teeth removal?
Pain after wisdom teeth removal surgery is normal and will subside as the healing process continues. However, removing the lower wisdom teeth can lead to a condition where the muscles of the jaw contract, or tighten, called trismus. This can restrict the mouth from opening.
When did I have my wisdom teeth extracted?
I had one of my upper wisdom teeth extracted six weeks ago by my dentist. The tooth was impacted and there were concerns that it may have caused me problems in the future. The extraction (under local anesthesia) seemed to go well and was very quick, took less than a minute. A day or so after the extraction, the pain seemed to be worsening.

I had an upper wisdom tooth extracted about 3 weeks ago. And i still am having severe pain around the area. and spreading to several top teeth and even some bottom ones. The pain is excruciating, and advil or tylenol will not help one bit.

Hello I have my all 4 wisdom teeth removed a week ago and I am still in pain. From last 2 days i.e. On day 6 after wisdom teeth removal, I am having pain in Cheek bone and jaw. I am in comfort zone as far as I am taking ibuprofen. the pain starts exactly after 8 hrs of my first 800 mg ibuprofen….

Why do my gums hurt after wisdom tooth extraction?
The gums/ teeth on that side are aching a bit and the extraction site is still quite tender to touch. I also suffer from TMJ issues, so it’s sometimes hard to tell where pain might be coming from. Sorry for such a long post, but I’m so worried that this is some kind of serious infection. Any advice on what I should do next? Thank you.
