Why can I feel a little ball underneath my ear?

Lumps behind the ear can have many possible causes, including problems in the skin or bone. Swollen lymph nodes, infections, and certain cancers can also lead to lumps. Most cases of a lump behind the ear do not present a cause for concern, however, and normally resolve without treatment.

Is there a lump under my jaw line and below my ear?

I had a similar thing about a month ago, woke up one morning and the gland behind my ear and by my jawline was slightly swollen! Didn’t think much of it, but then the following day my face was so much more swollen and painful opening mouth etc. Didn’t feel ill with it other than pain.
