I don’t know how on Friday I was diagnosed gastritis (though they only did an urinalysis and bloodwork, which all seemed fine otherwise) and now my stomach seems okay. Even the sonogram showed that all of my internal organs were in order. Yesterday I ate a handful of almonds and was keeled over and in constant pain for hours.

Can a gastritis biopsy show up on an endoscopy?
Gastritis doesn’t always show up on the endoscopy images. You have to wait for the biopsy results. With me, the doc only saw esophagitis through imaging when she did my endoscopy, but when the biopsy came back it showed inflammation in my stomach as well. Not sure why this is the case.
