Connect your camera to the camera adapter using the built-in thumb screw.
Adjust the angle of the camera adapter to the desirable position and tighten the side screw.
Put the camera in self-timer mode

Make sure the lens is pointing at you and smile!
Please keep in mind that the XShot was designed to be used when it is fully extended. This will allow you to get a good view of the background behind the subjects. It also allows you to have up to 5 people in the picture!
